Aries Aries Horoscope For May 2023 I will say this simply and straightforwardly. May won’t be an easy month. A full moon lunar eclipse in Scorpio, 15 degrees, will arrived on May 5, and this will be an angry one. Everyone of every sign will feel the turbulence, for this eclipse will arrive with the Sun tightly conjunct Uranus in Taurus, planet of unexpected developments, and both will oppose the tender full moon in Scorpio. The Sun and Uranus will be 180 degrees across the sky from the full moon. Eclipses come in pairs, and the one that occurred earlier on April 19 was in Aries, a new moon solar eclipse, appearing at the very last degree of that sign, in fact within one-half degree of Taurus. It is clear your life is in transition—you have learned a great deal within a certain situation or relationship you had been in until this point, and the universe feels it is now time to move on and learn something new. Eclipses are always on a mission to find a weak link in your life, one that is toxic, or one that is complete and has run its course. Eclipses are hard to take, because if the eclipse finds something, it will jettison that situation within the blink of an eye. The universe will deem that situation or relationship as complete, and it will not provide you with further insight, productivity, or benefit in the future. The April 19 solar (new moon) eclipse in Aries arrived tightly conjunct Jupiter, the planet of good fortune and happiness, on one side and the mighty Sun on the other. Jupiter was still in Aries on April 19 protecting you, and new moons are known to bring opportunities. A new moon solar eclipse is a new moon on steroids—very strong, very powerful, and bringing noticeable results. Read More... Taurus Taurus Horoscope For May 2023 The beginning of the month won’t be easy. A full moon lunar eclipse will take place on May 5 in your opposite sign of Scorpio, so a close relationship partner will be the focus and likely bring unexpected stress. The partner you will be thinking about may be your mate or a business partner/collaborator. This person seems to be leaving your everyday life, possibly quite suddenly. Often an eclipse will “eclipse out” a major person in our lives. There are a variety of reasons this could take place. A favorite boss may be moving to a new part of the country to take another job. You may break up with a romantic partner if you feel betrayed or unfairly treated. Eclipses look for weak links and home in on them. Pluto will be in the mix too and will send a 90-degree square aspect to both the Sun and full moon lunar eclipse. This will add pressure from work, and I am so sorry to have to transmit this information. Everyone will feel these aspects circulating in the air, so be gentle with everyone you interact with this month, especially in the first half of May. Most people (although not all) will be walking on eggshells and feel a bit fragile. You may have had difficulty last year near November 8, 2022, the date of an eclipse that was not so nice. This May 5 eclipse is a full moon, so emotions will run high, and is the hardest one of the Taurus-Scorpio series—nothing will be as dramatic as this one the rest of the year. Mercury in retrograde will be orbiting close to the Sun and Uranus and will be opposed to the full moon, so the planets are not getting along. You can get a fuller understanding of eclipses by reading my article “How to Deal with Eclipses” that you can find here. Many people have found this useful as I go through each idea about an eclipse and number each idea as well. You can also find my article on the premium version of my “Astrology Zone Horoscopes,” which can be downloaded from the Apple App store or Google Play. The premium version of my app is just $4.99 a month (about $1.00 a week). Just go to the Menu, then to Life, Love & More, and in Susan’s Essays you’ll find my eclipse article. Read More ... |
Gemini Gemini Horoscope For May 2023 This month starts out with a difficult full moon—actually a full moon lunar eclipse—in Scorpio, 15 degrees, on May 5. This is not a time to take any risks or proceed with any major launches or initiations in your personal or work life. It would be best not to travel this month. Plan to stay at home at least for the first two weeks of May for you may have to direct others on how to help solve a situation, and that’s always easier if you are home. You have a strong buildup of planets in your twelfth house of secrets, so it appears either you, or someone near you, is acting on a plan that will affect you, but he or she is keeping things under wraps. To say this more clearly, someone might not be working to your benefit, so keep your antenna up. You will have an extraordinary gift of intuition now and in the months to come, and this will come in handy and be quite correct. This full moon lunar eclipse will occur in your sixth house of work-a-day assignments and will include workers who report to you at home and at work (such as a nanny, housekeeper, or your assistant, for example). Something is about to reach a crest. Uranus, a planet that covers all things unexpected, in Taurus will be tightly conjunct the Sun and Mercury, and all will directly oppose the full moon in Scorpio. This means news will come out of the blue, and this news would be the last thing you would ever expect to hear—it is a nerve-jangling time. Your ruler Mercury is involved prominently in this eclipse, which spells greater tension. Your home or one of your family members might be in a jam, and you may need to help. Read More... |

Cancer
Cancer Horoscope For May 2023
Not all full moons are friendly, and when you find a lunar eclipse, giving a full moon the strength of three, you have a very potent full moon.
The full moon lunar eclipse in Scorpio on May 5 will be a handful for just about everyone of every sign. This eclipse has a pulling away, separating quality to it, so changes will be in the air. Uranus, the planet of all things completely unexpected, will tightly conjoin the Sun, and together, Uranus and the Sun will both directly oppose the tender moon in Scorpio, 15 degrees.
This full moon will occur in your fifth house of true love, so you may find the course of truelove is strewn with thorns. If you’ve been dating someone, whether for a short period ora long time, you may now discover your partner’s true character, and it might leave you shaken.
Lunar eclipses are known to shine a glaring light on any weak link they find within the house the full moon appears. If you have wanted to leave your partner, a piece of casually delivered news could mark the moment that you must let him or her go. Or it may be that your significant other checked out a long time ago, and the end of the relationship is at hand, only you never knew how your partner felt until now. It is always better to deal with truth and reality, but when news hits, that is easier said than done.

Leo Leo Horoscope For May 2023 This is going to be a wild month, particularly the first half. The May 5 full moon lunar eclipse might be troublesome simply because planets will be squabbling with each other and stamping their feet, causing the rest of us to feel the tremors. Eclipses bring life events that become milestones we long remember. Sometimes they bring happy news, and at other times, not-so-happy news. Yet their job is to bring progress and to uproot us from situations that have run their course and have no future value. It is time to move on and try something new. This full moon lunar eclipse on May 5 will fall in Scorpio, 15 degrees, and will light your fourth house of home and family. This is a very difficult eclipse because it is a full moon which is, by nature, more emotional than a new moon. This full moon eclipse will be made even more volatile because Uranus, the planet of unpredictable news, will be conjunct the Sun, your ruler, and will oppose the gentle full moon in Scorpio. Additionally, a large number of planets in the sky are in fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius), signs that are known to resist change rather than adapt smoothly and easily. Eclipses are non-negotiable—you have to accept their dictates with no chance of getting things back to the way they were. Don’t even try to reverse a decision to return to the good old days—those days weren’t actually that great. The planets are always on the move, and we must be, too. The only path available is forward, and admittedly, when changes come so quickly, it can be painful to accept, but in time, you will find the eclipse acted in your favor, helping you do what you could not do for yourself. It’s best to be as practical and objective as you can, so try to contain your emotions (not easy, I know, dear Leo). Focus on the elements you can control, and do not worry about those you cannot. Also at eclipse time, there is a golden rule. You can RESPOND to other announcements, demands, and so forth, but you must not INITIATE any during an eclipse because things rarely work out as planned at eclipse time. Let other people make the announcements and major dictates—you can simply respond to the new circumstances or news. Read More... |

Virgo
Virgo Horoscope For May 2023
Cosmic storms are moving in, and you will need to keep your schedule light as you start the month.
A full moon lunar eclipse in Scorpio, 15 degrees, is due on May 5, so until the eclipse delivers its news, you don’t want to be overloaded with tasks. You will need to be free to change plans and move in a different direction if necessary and direct others who will be willing to help you. You have been through many eclipses, but this one is strong and will bring unexpected events to everyone.
The May 5 full moon eclipse in Scorpio will bring Uranus, the planet of unpredictable news, in tight conjunction with the Sun (both will be in Taurus), and these two will be so close that they will be orbiting shoulder to shoulder. Mercury, your ruler, will be close enough to Uranus in Taurus to feel the volatility of this eclipse. Any time your ruling planet is involved, you would feel the aspect more than most. At the same time, Uranus and the Sun will directly oppose and challenge the full moon, a strong, nerve-jangling aspect.
The full moon will fall in your third house of travel, so this is no time to set off for a trip. Your third house rules short distance travel, often taken by car, rail, or possibly a short hop by air. All kinds of unexpected difficulties may come up, from mechanical problems to difficulties with people you will be interacting with at your destination. If you are traveling for business within days of May 5 and hope to reach an accord with a client, that outcome won’t be likely. Travel for pleasure probably won’t proceed smoothly either—especially if you’re going with a friend or sibling. See if you can put off your trip until there’s a happier time to go.

Libra
Libra Horoscope For May 2023
Money has been on your mind, or more precisely, the need to bring in more cash to support your lifestyle. Worldwide inflation has played a large part in your frustration along with wage freezes and massive layoffs, so with companies tightening their belts, it has become hard to find a new job. You may also feel an urgency to make more money to care for others in your family. No matter why you’re focused on financials, your timing is good. You might initially doubt me as you enter the month—we have a tough eclipse on May 5—but you will see your financial luck improve in a big way as you get later into May.
The full moon lunar eclipse on May 5 in Scorpio, 15 degrees, will not be anyone’s favorite. Everyone of every sign will feel this eclipse to a certain extent, but each sign will be affected in different ways. The May 5 eclipse will fall in your second house of personal earned income and savings, and it appears there will be no way to avoid paying the piper the amount you owe. Full moons bring things to conclusion. This eclipse is tied in theme to the last lunar eclipse that appeared on November 8, 2022, which was also quite a handful.
Should it turn out that you feel your checking account is currently being vacuum cleaned of almost all your money, keep your spirits up—continue reading, and I will show you why. You have fabulous news coming later this month about your financial status that is remarkable. I have a lot to unpack for you here. The explanation and forecast of what I have for you should speak directly to what is on your mind as you enter May.
There is a reason this eclipse on May 5 will be tension producing. Rebellious, chaotic, and unpredictable Uranus will be tightly conjunct the Sun in Taurus, and both will oppose the tender moon in Scorpio. The full moon lunar eclipse will be IN your financial second house, but as a Libra, the moon rules your prestigious career tenth house, so there may be changes at the office—all that happens this month as a result of the May 5 eclipse regarding your money or career will be unexpected. You may say things come out of left field, with no warning. (Everyone of every sign is in the same boat, dear Libra.)

Scorpio
Scorpio Horoscope For May 2023
As you enter May, see if you can clear your agenda so that it is not overloaded with important business meetings. Delay them until after mid-May. If I were a weather forecaster, I would say there are storms on the move that all signs will feel to some degree, so it would be best to have room on your schedule to quickly drop what you’re doing so you can pivot in a new direction.
A difficult eclipse is due on May 5 in Scorpio, your sign, your solar first house of personality and identity, at 15 degrees. If you were born on or within five days of November 8, you will feel this eclipse. This lunar eclipse is tied to the one you had last year on November 8 (yes, directly on November 8), so an unfinished discussion or plan from that time may come up again for you to polish off now. You can feel an eclipse one month earlier, so in the case of the November 8 eclipse, you could have felt it on October 8 or one month later, on December 8, plus or minus five days. Astrologers work with mathematical bell curves, so you can feel an eclipse before it even happens as it approaches.
In terms of the May 5 eclipse, you may have felt it last month on or near April 5, or you will feel it on June 3, plus or minus five days. Only 10 percent of readers feel an eclipse before it occurs and 15 percent after it appears—so most, 75 percent, feel the eclipse on or very close to the day it takes place.
If you can’t recall what you were doing on April 5, check your email and the photographs in your computer or smartphone to see the kinds of discussions you were having at that time. If, indeed, you notice important news, the May 5 eclipse will be tied to that theme.

Sagittarius
Sagittarius Horoscope For May 2023
As you enter May, you will have work on your mind. Expenses have been high for you, and you seem determined to find more money. Expenses began to climb when Mars first entered Cancer on March 25, and your high expenses will start to drop after Mars leaves Cancer on May 20.
You seem to be spending mainly on groceries or to care for your children. You could be buying property, but with interest rates so high, that is less likely, but you could be spending on repairs or for things you need for your home, from furniture to appliances. You may be sending money to help a grown son or daughter or to help an elderly parent or other relative. You might say that I have it all wrong, but this is what your chart is saying to me.
Be sure not to buy any machines or electronics while Mercury is retrograde, a trend that started April 21 and will extend to May 14. Cars have become moving computers, so to speak, so avoid buying a car—new or used—or anything else mechanical. Avoid signing a contract or even making an agreement verbally, for in astrology they are the same thing. I have friends who rush to sign the day after Mercury goes direct, but that’s the worst time to sign. All planets are bad little rascals as they go direct—they need time to regulate their orb, so leave a space of a few days.
Mercury is the natural ruler of your prestigious professional sector, the tenth house, so you may want to put your career on auto pilot for a while. However, when Mars moves through Virgo from July 10 to August 27, you will lay the ground work for exciting career progress. Don’t be on vacation! Do that in June! After weeks of talks (or interviews) from July 10 to August 27 (or if self-employed, scouting new prestigious clients), your career plans will begin to fall into place beautifully at the best new moon of the year on September 14 and the days that follow.

Aquarius
Aquarius Horoscope For May 2023
This is a busy month. It holds the second of two eclipses—the first one arrived last month on April 19, and it was a new moon solar eclipse in Aries at 29 degrees. It was a friendly eclipse, although all eclipses nearly always require change and adjustment, something a fixed sign like yours, Aquarius, might not always look forward to. You are hardwired to hold up the structure of things, not suddenly dismantle them, but sometimes that is necessary. The April 19 eclipse will bring about a positive outcome because it arrived so closely orbiting to Jupiter, the planet of good fortune.
Now we come to its twin, a full moon lunar eclipse on May 5 in Scorpio at 15 degrees. This one is far more demanding and difficult than the one in April. This eclipse will light your tenth house of career honors, awards, and achievement, so your job, reputation, and status in your company and the industry at large will be your focus. Full moons bring culminations and usually represent a situation that has been going on for a while without resolve. Now things will start to get settled.
This is a tricky eclipse because of the tension between home and career that seems to be shaping up due to Uranus conjunct the Sun, and both are in tight opposition to the full moon. It may be that you will be chosen for a very prestigious position but feel torn because of obligations you have at home with children or other family members, such as a parent who depends on you.
Pluto, in Aquarius until June 11, will, at the eclipse, press on the Sun and full moon, indicating a partner at work (agent, publicist, collaborator, expert, coach, business partner, accountant, or lawyer as some examples) or at home (possibly your spouse) and only add to the pressure to decide, considering the conflict you might start to feel concerning work verses home. In another manifestation, instead, you might have to move house or do extensive repairs or renovations for any number of reasons, and all this is happening when the job culmination and possible offer are coming up.

![]() Pisces Pisces Horoscope For May 2023 The start of the month is a bit wild and wooly due to a difficult full moon lunar eclipse in Scorpio, 15 degrees, on May 5. As a Pisces, you seem to be one of the fortunate signs, so perhaps you will be standing on the sidelines, watching all that is going on with others and helping where you can. I’m not sure you will be directly affected by this particular eclipse—Scorpio blends well with your sign, so you will have that in your favor. It also is falling in a cadent house, which means it is a milder part of the chart than some of the other houses. Here is what I see. A full moon lunar eclipse will bring a matter to conclusion. This eclipse will fall in your ninth house, which rules international relationships, distant travel, matters of immigration, residence, passport, citizenship, and travel visas. It also rules the media in terms of publishing, broadcasting, and projects (as producer or writer or as the subject of the story). This area of your chart also rules legal matters and the court system, as well as matters related to pursuing a college, graduate school, or other degree. All full moons are more emotional than new moons, and a lunar eclipse is more emotional still. Something ends and something else begins. This eclipse on May 5 appears to be testing your ability to remain practical, realistic, calm, resourceful, and imaginative when things start not to go according to plan. You appear to be ready to make a final decision or finally finish up a creative project related to one of the topics listed above. Read More ... |
