![]() Your food , your medicine . I have never believed "Your food could be your medicine" until at the day - a public holiday when I was seriously ill with the symptoms: body aches/ pain, headaches and fever,and blocked / runny noses... And I could not find any medicine to take . ( The day was a day of Australian Boxing Day ) . ...Wandering on the street with body pain and disappointing in having no medicine for me after I visited at several Chinese Clinics/ medicine shops closed . ( I often take Chinese medicine called BanLanGen Tablet for treatment/ prevention of Cold / Flu - BanLanGen Tablet - a kind of herbal medicine compound that can treat Cold / Flu and etc when I have cold /Flu symptoms ) . ... Suddenly, I saw that there was white radish on one of the shelves at a Chinese vegetable store in Richmond. "Radish can treat Cold /Flu and inflammation..." I recalled it at once that what I've been told by Chinese elderly when I was a little girl . No any choice at the moment that I realized I have to try the vegetable - 'white radish' to treat my illness . Then I went into the store and bought one of the white radish ( I decided cooking a soup with the vegetable of radish and pork bone) . After that ,I spent $2 in a meat shop and got a few pork bone . As soon as I got back to my home, I cooked a "radish bone soup" for myself . I ate one bowl of it at my lunch time and kept my body warm. Then, I ate the soup again as my dinner . After that, I went to bed with warm blankets on . Next day morning, I woke up and found out that the all of symptoms suffered for many days that have been gone, just gone totally ! - I felt no pain, no headache and no blocked / runny noses any more ... It was a magic !!! I always agreed that what people eat in daily life is relation to their health. But, I never thought a food can have such strong effect in treatment of disease / illness! Sweet Roast Pork : Ingredients: 800g Pork, 2 spool of Roast sauce, 1 spool of Oyster sauce, 6 Spool of cooking wine, some garlic , 1 spool of sugar , Oil and Sesame Method : Preparing about 800g of Pork , add all of ingredients with the pork together and massage them for 1-2 minutes, then put away in a fridge for about 2 hours ... Pour some cooking oil ( about 10ml) into a saucepan, when the oil become warm, add the pork ... turn the Pork to the another side after the frying about 2 minutes. Then cover it with lid and cook with a small heat about 10 minutes... When it is ready , add some sesame on the top... Very delicious . Enjoy ! |
