Aries Aries Horoscope For January 2023 January starts out on a sweet note with a friendly full moon in Cancer, 16 degrees, your fourth house of home and family, on January 6, and as a result, you may receive an unexpected gift or financial help from a parent. An alternative way the benefits of this generous full moon might work out is if you are selling property or any items you no longer need, you could get more than your asking price. If you are the buyer, you could negotiate a bargain. Whether renting or buying, you may find the perfect space within your price range and neighborhood. The reason I am so optimistic about home- and family-related matters for you is that Uranus, the planet of unexpected developments, is currently in a long visit to your second sector of earned income, salary, gifts, and possessions. This month Uranus will be outstandingly friendly to this full moon in Cancer, so a member of your family, or property you own or rent (or will soon), will be linked. For example, your family may help you with a down payment on new property or help you buy a piece of furniture you need. This area of your chart rules not only salary and other earned income, but also your possessions as diverse as the purchase of a piece of real estate, a gift of heirloom jewelry, valuable artwork, or a handsome piece of furniture as some examples. There are many possibilities related to this sweet full moon of January 6. You may be moving to upgrade your standard of living now that you have a better job, or you may decide to move closer to work or family members, such as your parents or siblings. Of course, your need to move could be simply because you don’t like your apartment, feel your noisy, nosy neighbors have been difficult, or realize your space is too small or too dark. Alternatively, your need to move may be because the landlord is about to make massive structural improvements or repairs and plans to sell the building. This full moon is capable of bringing you closure and give you a reason to make a final decision or plan at this time. If this is not a good time to move, you will get another superb chance after the new moon appears on July 17, 2023. Read More... Taurus Taurus Horoscope For January 2023 The holidays are over, and your horoscope is urging you to take a trip. You may have already taken a long one to see family last month, and hopefully you were not among the many passengers who faced frustrating delays at the airport due to storms and airline cancellations. Last month you had a stellar new moon on December 23 to help you enjoy family, travel, and holiday traditions. That new moon would not have caused problems for you—it was a very encouraging new moon, but the approaching Mercury retrograde on December 29 could have caused some havoc. We always feel Mercury retrograde as much as two weeks before this planet officially turns retrograde. Mercury will turn direct in your travel house on January 18. This will give January a leisurely start, and I surmise you might welcome the pace. Holidays can be fun, but they can also be exhausting, so with Mercury retrograde you won’t have too much pressure on you. Mercury’s big brother Mars has been moving through your second house of money, increasing your spending, and because it has been retrograde, your efforts to find new sources of income have been hampered. Mars has been retrograde since October 30 but will go direct on January 12. As you see, things will brighten and move faster after both planets, Mars and Mercury, go direct by January 18. Before that happens, you will have time to take a breath before diving into your work. Read More ... |
Gemini Gemini Horoscope For January 2023 You have been dealing with Mars in Gemini since August 20, which is remarkable, because the usual length of stay in any one sign that Mars visits is seven weeks. This time, Mars is staying in Gemini for seven months, until March 25. There is a difference now, for Mars has been retrograde since October 30 (the reason Mars is spending such a long time in your sign), but on January 12, Mars will go direct in Gemini. Have you noticed how everyone, it seems, has been looking to you for direction? If you have said to yourself, Can’t they figure out little things on their own? No. Lately they can’t, and they want to hear your opinion on just about anything. If you tried to see progress on any level, you may have felt you were walking up a down escalator, getting you nowhere. That will change now, for you have been dealing with Mars in a very slow orbit—that will change when Mars goes direct on January 12. Although Mars will push things forward, you will still need to wait for Mars’ little brother Mercury, which went retrograde on December 29 for his typical three-and-a-half-week period. Mercury will go direct on January 18. For all practical purposes, life will improve after January 18—but leave a space of a few days before you start normal activities, like signing a contract for example. No planet normalizes instantly on the official date it goes direct. Mercury is your ruler, so his retrograde affects you quite a bit. If anyone owes you money, it appears you have been waiting for it. The planets that orbit closest to earth are the ones we are affected by the most when retrograde—Venus, Mars, and Mercury. Venus will go retrograde later this year, from July 22 until September 3. Mars will not retrograde again for another two years, and Mercury retrogrades every 12 weeks. Read More... |

Cancer
Cancer Horoscope For January 2023
Jupiter is shining like a beacon at the top of your chart in your tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement, so at work, you can do no wrong. VIPS adore your performance, and subordinates want to work for you and learn from you. You will have until May 16 to continue to grow and to cement your reputation.
After May 16 Jupiter will move to Taurus, and that’s when you will get a chance to circulate and socialize and have fun. Until then, I would like you to keep your focus on your job. While you will always have a chance to grow within your professional specialty, you now have Jupiter in the perfect place in your chart to make a dazzling breakthrough that you never dreamed possible. After Jupiter leaves Aries on May 16, Jupiter will not be back to Aries until April 2034 to April 2035. While you have Jupiter at your side in your prestigious career house, make the most of it.
The month starts off with a full moon in Cancer, 16 degrees, on January 6, and it is a peach of a full moon. Uranus, the planet of unexpected developments, will be in ideal position to that full moon, bringing good surprises. Something dearly important to you will reach culmination, and it will be so personal, not even your astrologer can tell you what it might be. This full moon is packed with unexpected developments—Uranus will be in perfect position to delight you and take you completely by surprise with happy news, and it seems to emanate from your significant other in love or collaborator/partner in business.
Also on January 6, benefic Jupiter will signal this full moon, so you may hear very good news about your rising status in your career, among other joyful news at this time.

Leo Leo Horoscope For January 2023 Take your entry into the New Year slowly and gradually, dear Leo. Mars, the action planet, has been retrograde since October 30, and that has left you feeling like progress was slow or non-existent. Now all that will change when Mars moves forward in Gemini on January 12. Mercury, the clever little copycat planet, looks up to his brother Mars, so he went retrograde too on December 29, but he won’t go direct until January 18. Meanwhile, Mars has been lighting your eleventh house of happy social activity since August 20 when it first went into Gemini and has no plans to leave this joyful house—not until March 25. This suggests to me that your friends are playing a large role in your life, possibly professionally, too. With such a great emphasis on friendship, make an effort to be out and about (especially after January 12 until March 25) to make new friends and acquaintances, perhaps by joining a social or professional club. The first big lunation will be the full moon in Cancer, 16 degrees, on January 6. This full moon will have you craving rest, and you must take time for yourself, as you may feel a little run down by the holidays. During the full moon period (January 4 to January 11) while you are resting, you may hear very good news about your career. Uranus, which is currently in the process of a long visit to your tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement, will send a silvery, sparkly electric beam to the full moon and simultaneously to the Sun, your ruler. The transiting Sun is in your work-a-day sector, and Uranus is in your house of fame and honors, linking the two houses—so a new project that comes in during the full moon period could have the power to elevate your reputation and status in your industry. Virgo
Virgo Horoscope For January 2023
There is so much to enjoy in January. Ever since the end of August, you’ve been working hard and seeing gratifying progress in your career. Mars has been the reason for the attention you were getting for your ideas, for Mars is spending an unusually long time in your prestigious tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement at the pinnacle of your chart. You may have run into snags from the end of October through December, and as you enter January, you may still be tweaking certain elements of your project due to Mars having turned retrograde on October 30. Happily, Mars will finally leave retrograde and go direct on January 12.
Mercury looks up to his big, strong brother Mars, for he is the planet of action. Little brother Mercury has talents too, as he is clever, humorous, and a whiz at communication, and is known for having a silver tongue, always finding the perfect word for the right occasion. Mercury is your ruler and gives you your talent for details, organization, and healing properties. (Virgos are drawn to the publishing, broadcasting, and medical fields.) When little Mercury saw big brother Mars shut down for a rest, he decided to do the same thing on December 29, and he won’t go direct until January 18.
As you see, January will have a slow, leisurely start, and that will be fine with you. The universe wants you to enjoy yourself, but because you are the zodiac’s hardest worker, it takes you time to get into the swing of the holidays. You had a gorgeous new moon in Capricorn on December 23 to get the ball rolling. That new moon and the Sun brought Venus and Mercury into their entourage and displayed such a fabulous possibility for a happy holiday. It looks like you are not ready to return to work yet, nor should you. You are not like other people who can slip into party mode early in December, so the new moon on December 23 made sure you would start to relax, but rather late in the month. That did not give you enough time to fully exhale. The universe understands this and will help you stay comfortable over much of the first three weeks of January.

Libra
Libra Horoscope For January 2023
Life should feel good this month, totally unlike the difficult aspects of November and possibly of the month before, October. The planets are humming along in rare harmony. You were lucky that Mars chose to stay in Gemini such a long time—since August 20—and will remain in this highly compatible sign to Libra until March 25. However, Mars has been retrograde during part of this period, from October 30, but Mars will go direct on January 12.
If you felt that progress has been slow in your career, or other matters, you can blame Mars being out of phase. The same is true if you found executives hard to reach or indecisive. That will change dramatically now. Think of Mars as the planet that pours high octane fuel into your car, and when he is asleep on the couch, we all feel a bit stymied. No matter what you did to get ahead probably didn’t work too well. That all changes now.
Mercury, Mars’ little brother, is a clever little prankster. He looks up to Mars, so when little Mercury found Mars asleep on the comfy couch, he decided he would go retrograde and take a nap too on December 29. Mercury will go direct on January 18.
As you see, January will have a slow start. That’s OK—holidays can be extremely busy, so having some time to move at a leisurely pace may suit you perfectly. There is one possible exception to this rule of January having a slow start, and it has to do with the lovely full moon of January 6.

Scorpio
Scorpio Horoscope For January 2023
You enter January feeling a bit restless. Travel during the holidays may have been hard, but you aren’t ready to lock away your suitcase.
The January 6 full moon will fall in your ninth house of travel and receive a perfect silvery electric beam from surprise-a-minute planet Uranus. You may not be planning to go anywhere, but you might simply pack and go when you get a wonderful invitation from a friend or a sibling.
This full moon of January 6 may also bring news about a career matter because Uranus will send a beam to the Sun, which is the natural ruler of your tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement. Full moons bring closure within five days after they appear, so keep your phone powered up and keep checking email. This would apply to you if you had interviewed for a job previously and was waiting for a response. This is a positive full moon, so let’s think good thoughts.
Scorpios born on November 8, plus or minus five days, have the edge, but so do those who have Scorpio rising or their natal moon in Scorpio at 16 degrees, plus or minus five degrees. Also, look to see if you have a natal planet in Cancer, Pisces, Scorpio, Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn at 16 degrees, plus or minus five degrees—that planet will work hard to protect you and help you find opportunity.
On another topic, you seem to be working on money management and watching how you spend your pennies. You have become nearly obsessed with being careful, and actually, as a Scorpio, you are talented with money management. You may be saving for a house or other investment. You may have been frustrated at your progress, but that’s because Mars, one of your two rulers, has been retrograde since October 30. However, Mars will turn direct on January 12, and from then on, your efforts will be more clearly rewarded.

Sagittarius
Sagittarius Horoscope For January 2023
This month starts slowly, like drops of maple syrup melting over your pancakes at breakfast. That might suit you—you will have time to think about what you hope 2023 will bring. The reason this month starts slowly is that Mars and Mercury are both retrograde. While all planets retrograde, we tend to feel the backward motion of planets that orbit closest to earth—Mercury, Mars, and Venus—the most. Venus won’t go retrograde until July 22 to September 3.
The good news is Mars will go direct on January 12, having been retrograde since October 30. Mars rules your romantic relationships, so if things have seemed a little “off,” I feel it could be because Mars has been out of phase. You have a big bonus, though—the best part of your chart has to do with Jupiter’s move to Aries, your fifth house of true love. Jupiter was in this part of your chart last year from May 10 to October 27, but then he took a little side trip back into Pisces. Now that Jupiter is back in your truelove sector (since December 20), you have a chance to find true and lasting love. You will have the benefits of Jupiter in Aries until May 16.
While you will always be able to find love, when you have Jupiter in this house of romantic happiness, it tends to be easier. Once Jupiter leaves, he will be gone for 12 years, not due to return until April 2034 to April 2035. For this reason, I feel you should circulate as much as possible now, for you would meet marriage material this year. I say that because Mars is working closely with Jupiter in your marriage house in a very friendly way and will continue to do that through March. Also this month, Venus will be in Aquarius, a perfect air sign that will make your fire-sign element of Sagittarius burn more brightly. Venus will be in Aquarius from January 2 to January 26. Stay with me—your best luck comes later in the month when things heat up perfectly. (That will be after the new moon on January 21 in Aquarius—I will explain later.)

Capricorn Capricorn Horoscope For January 2023 It’s your birthday, and the little planets are gathering to make sure you have a happy month. Astrologers know that aspects at birthday time carry their song throughout your year—you may have heard the term “solar return,” which is the return of the Sun to the place it was at your birth—and judging by these happy planets, you have a terrific forecast. Last month on December 23 you had a dazzling new moon that opened the door to an entirely new birthday year. You had the new moon, Sun, Venus, Mercury, and Pluto—half the number of celestial bodies of the solar system—in your sign, gathering to protect you and to give you gifts. Uranus, planet of surprise, was in divine angle to Venus, promising love would reign supreme. Now as you enter January, you have a full moon on January 6 in your relationship sector, the kind and caring family and home sign of Cancer, 16 degrees. It will light your seventh house of commitment, partnership, marriage, and collaboration. The sweetest part of this full moon is that the planet of surprise, Uranus, will again have a big role in one close relationship and bring you a welcome wonder. You may find out your partner truly loves you and wants you to move in together. Or you might be presented with an engagement ring within five days of January 6. If you are already committed to each other, the eye-opener might be a ticket to an exciting location, like Paris, to celebrate your love—or something else just as thrilling. You will be focused on your steady romantic partner or, in business, a person you’d like to take on as an official partner or collaborator, such as a new general manager, accountant, lawyer, marketing manager, or other expert you will work closely with in a confidential way. You are getting serious about making a significant offer to that person. Talk now, but hold off hiring that person until later in the month. Here is why. Read More ... |

Aquarius
Aquarius Horoscope For January 2023
It is such a pleasure writing your horoscope these days. You have so much going for you. This month will start slowly, as the month prior to your birthday usually does. The ancient astrologers always felt that the month prior was a time to think about what you’d like to achieve in the coming birthday year. You may want to shuffle your priorities, add some goals, and maybe delete others that no longer interest you. Just the act of writing down a short little list is very effective in helping you realize your dreams.
Mars has been spending lots of time in your truelove sector—your fifth house—and if you are single, this energy planet has been giving you a superb chance to meet someone new since August 20. If you are attached, Mars will continue to give you a chance to grow closer. If you say that things have not been smooth lately, it’s because Mars went retrograde on October 30, but the good news is that Mars will go direct this month on January 12.
In many ways, I feel the coming months, from January 12 to March 25, will be the very best period for you to enjoy love. (Mars will remain in Gemini, your truelove sector until March 25.) At the start of this trend, Mars would go progressively slower until he shut down completely on October 30. Now, after January 12 with the Mars retrograde behind us, not to return for two years, your outlook is bright. No planet instantly snaps back into shape. It takes time for a planet to ramp up to its previous strength. Still, it will be a relief for the planet to finally be moving forward.
The fifth house rules more than new love and the warmth of present love. It also rules pregnancy and birth and the care for children (no matter what their age). With such a strong emphasis on this house, if you hope for a baby, this would be the right time to start trying. If you need to see a fertility doctor, do so after the glorious new moon appears in Aquarius on January 21.

![]() Pisces Pisces Horoscope For January 2023 It’s been said that Pisces are very close to their families. You seem to be proving this vividly. Ever since Mars entered Gemini on August 20, you have been very attentive to things going on in regard to one family member. It may be that your mother has needed advice or options for a doctor or living situation. Or it may be that your sister or daughter had a baby and needs help caring for the wee one. Mars can add some conflict, and although I have never found this to be the case, I will mention it here in case you do. If you are noticing a family squabble has taken root, but nothing is leading to a solution, there is hope. Here is why. Mars has been retrograde since October 20 but will turn direct January 12. Mars, the energy planet, is the fuel you put in your car to make it go. Mars goes retrograde only every two years, so we are not used to seeing Mars withhold his great powers. We certainly feel the difference during his retrograde, though. No matter how hard you may have worked to solve things, it may not have led you to productivity or progress. If your family is not the focus, you may have been determined to move, rent, buy, or sell an apartment, house, or condo, do a renovation, make a series of important repairs, paint your entire space, declutter, refresh your décor, or do some landscaping of your property for seasonal flowers—no matter what has been on your list, you faced strong headwinds that kept pushing you backward. Obstacles came in the way. Now with Mars moving ahead on January 12, you will gradually see things improve. No planet snaps to its former strength the moment it wakes up, but rather needs a little time to ramp that energy up to its former strength. You will notice that at last, things are starting to move in the right direction. Little copycat Mercury, a clever little planet, ruling communication and contractual agreements, as well as moving parts in machines and the spark in all electronic items, looks up to his big brother Mars. When Mercury saw his brother sleeping on the couch, he thought, Hey, I could use some rest, too. Mercury went for a nap (retrograde) on December 29 and will go direct January 18. Read More ... |
